Master Ken Smith, a Boston native, began his career in the martial arts 20 years ago
in an effort to enhance his tennis game. He soon realized his true calling and has
pursued his training and role as an instructor ever since. Starting out at Villari's
in Hudson MA, Ken became a Black Belt in 1988. Ten years later, he moved to Florida
to take over Villari's at Royal Palm Beach. Here, Ken and his instructional team use
Shaolin Kempo Karate to help every student realize their fullest potential.
He firmly believes that the biggest asset to martial arts training is strength in
character.
In 2001, Ken was promoted to the rank of Fifth Degree Black Belt by
Grand Master Villari himself. Says Ken, "Martial Arts is a never ending road,
you're always learning."
When asked how his training has most affected him he states, "It has helped me to
discover who I am and my purpose in life".
